The 29th Annual Midwest Hazardous Materials Response Conference features the  best in both formal and informal education. This conference is a premiere event for responders!

There are exciting main program presentations and  dynamic workshops by the best haz mat instructors. You can select your own workshops to match your interests.

REGISTRATION

Registration forms will not be accepted by mail, fax or e-mail. The registration process can only be completed online at www.emerysafety.com. Download the  conference brochure first so you can select your workshop choices.

You can pay your registration fee online using a credit card or mail a check. Credit card payments will include an ePayment convenience fee for online processing by a third party secure server. An invoice will automatically be generated and will serve as your receipt. With each payment option, your conference confirmation will be automatically generated when you submit your registration form online. If you pay by check your  registration will not actually be completed until payment is received.

Early registration is only $315.00 when paid before April 1, 2017 ($365.00 if received after April 1, 2017). There is no telephone or registration at the door. A $50.00 processing fee will be charged for cancellations made in writing before April 1, 2017; however written requests for substitutions will be honored until April 1, 2017 at no charge. Absolutely no refunds after April 1, 2017, and no refund or credits to no-show registrants. Name badges cannot be changed after printing so make sure you spell all your information correctly. The conference management is not responsible if you spell your own name wrong. Certificates will only be changed and mailed for a $10.00 service fee. We reserve the right to cancel the conference or workshops due to circumstances beyond our control. The information contained in this brochure was current at the time of publication. As noted above, confirmation will only be provided during the online registration process. NO confirmations will be mailed. The registration deadline is firm, so you must get your registration in on time. Be sure to save a copy of your registration confirmation form because workshop assignments cannot be confirmed by telephone.

Many workshops have class size limits  and they will fill quickly so please do not delay!

NOTICE: THIS CONFERENCE IS ELIGIBLE FOR “HAZARDOUS MATERIALS EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS” (HMEP) GRANT FUNDING THROUGH PHMSA. HMEP CAN PAY FOR YOUR REGISTRATION FEE, HOTEL ROOM AND TRAVEL EXPENSES. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL LEPC FOR INFORMATION ON HOW YOU CAN APPLY FOR GRANT FUNDING TO ATTEND THIS TRAINING.

GROUP REGISTRATIONS

You may register multiple attendees at one time. You can review all information on each individual before submitting the registrations.

PAYMENT

You will select your method of payment (either check or credit card) at the start of registration. If you select “Pay By Check” you will be able to download the invoice to provide your accounting department, but you are responsible for mailing the check. If you select “Pay By Credit Card” you will be able to make payment using the secure server. Please note that there is a ePayment Convenience fee for each registration paid by credit card.

TAX DEDUCTION

Tax law states certain education related expenses including tuition, travel, lodging and meals are tax deductible if incurred to maintain or improve professional skills required in employment. Check with your tax professional for more specific information.

CERTIFICATES

Annual refresher training as required under CFR 1910.120 (q) can be achieved by attending conference courses. The employer is responsible for certifying that presentations qualify for refresher training. Over 12 hours of formal training will be offered, plus all the after-hours opportunities!

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

American Taxi provides prearranged service from O’Hare International Airport to the Northbrook Hilton Hotel for $29.00. The return trip from the Hilton to O’Hare is also $29.00. Call American Taxi at 800-244-1177 to prearrange your trip. If you use a “city taxi” from the taxi line at O’Hare you could pay 2 or 3 times what American Taxi charges.

AIRPORT INFORMATION

The Northbrook Hilton is located just 9 miles north of O’Hare International Airport, which is served by all major airlines.  Reasonable airfares are available on most airlines serving O’Hare. Car rental is readily available at O’Hare through all major rental companies.

MEALS

The registration fee includes all breaks, a spectacular lunch buffet on Friday and Saturday, and complimentary dinner at the party Friday night, plus the attendee presentations binder.

The Friday night Exhibitors’ Party is a conference highlight, featuring  incredible door prizes  worth thousands of dollars. Extra meal tickets for your spouse or guest will be available for a nominal fee at the conference registration desk.
