RAMP Receives AOAC ApprovalBy now, we're sure you have heard of the Department of Homeland Security-funded AOAC collaborative study on anthrax detection systems. What you may not have heard is that RAMP is the ONLY handheld anthrax detection system to meet the performance standards introduced by AOAC INTERNATIONAL. RAMP was one of five handheld test systems that underwent the exhaustive collaborative study designed by AOAC, funded by the Department of Homeland Security and implemented at the U.S. Army Dugway Proving Grounds. RAMP was demonstrated to reliably detect anthrax from numerous strains. The specificity of RAMP was also demonstrated in the study. It was confirmed that RAMP does not cross-react with non-anthrax bacteria. Five rapid immunoassay-based anthrax field tests completed this comprehensive validation through the AOAC Harmonized Performance Tested (SM) Program, which provided an independent third-party review of test-kit performance claims. RAMP has the exclusive designation of being the ONLY commercially available system to meet the new standards for rapid and reliable anthrax detection. Emery & Associates, Inc. is the exclusive training contractor for RAMP and we can offer you exceptional prices! Click here for more information.

NATIONAL SAMPLING STANDARD RELEASEDFederal, state, and local agencies have reached consensus on the first validated national standard for collecting, packaging, and transporting samples of visible powders that are suspected of being biological threat agents, such as anthrax. The new standard meets the needs of the first responders to test the powders on site, and the needs of the federal agencies to conduct tests on the same, uncontaminated powder samples for forensic and confirmatory analysis.
